Beth, Tina and I
Beth is on the left, while Tina is on the right. This was taken on Tina's last day with Effective Concepts. I still think she is the best sales person I have seen, though she wasn't able to bring in a single deal in the time she was with us. I think product and support was lacking for her...
Though we ended on a pretty sour note ( I was ill since that day, and lost my voice, constant headaches every day ) and I wasn't able to talk to her properly. I would love to keep her as a friend.
She is an incredible woman who has a very big heart for friends, and even though her last day was filled with negativity, I would say that my esteem for her has not diminshed. Every person has their bad day...
I hope to be able to talk to her soon, when she is no longer feeling so slighted by me. I wish her the very best that life can offer, and pray that she is happy back at the firm I headhunted her from. She was really fantastic there, with the best sales records!
Open LetterWell Tina, Wish you the very best in life, and let's forgive and forget all the bad stuff shall we?
I apologise if there was something lacking in my conduct, and probably, i should have explained my intentions more. I was hoping that you can prove yourself in EC, after which, I was going to ask Anthony to make you CEO instead.
However, even though I did cover for your many days off and days which you went to the doctor's, I wan't able to cover for your lack of sales and deals.
Perhaps the environment wasn't right or something, for you were not able to do even 10 cold calls a day, and it was really hard for me to answer to Anthony, because I was so convinced that you are good and had put my judgement and reputation on the line to bring you in and give you the salary that you had asked for.
Anthony had wanted to ask you to leave before December, but I told him to wait till you get another job, which I know you were talking to Terrapin about. I wanted to be fair to you as well, but I guess I should have explained it plainly to you, so that all these hurt and resentment about Beth wouldn't have built up.
But Tina, we were friends albeit not that close, but I would still like to remain friends as I think you have incredible spirit, drive and of course, you are really fantastic a person most times!
Do call or email me if you ever read this, I may not be able to talk to you very well on the phone as I still don't have a voice, but I will try!

I cherish friends alot, and I definitely treasure all the advice that you have given in the past. Let's not part company just because you left the company.
